School picture day will be Thursday, November 13.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HLMS will honor individuals effected during our homecoming game on Thursday, October 2. We invite members of our community to submit the names of loved ones who have survived breast cancer, are currently undergoing treatment, or whom we remember in passing. They will be respectfully acknowledged during halftime. Please send names to cortavious.love@dcsms.org.

Unplug the Chargers. Wear black on Thursday, 9/25/25 for our blackout game against Southaven Middle.

Horn Lake Middle School’s Literacy Night will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. The theme is Families Learning Together: Connecting Home and School. We have some school supplies to give away as well as educational books for parents while supplies last.

On Thursday, 9/18/25, we will "Vacay on the Patriots." Wear your leis and Hawaiian shirts.

HLMS's 8th Grade Tour of Northwest Community College will take place on 9/30/25 from 9:00-11:15 a.m. Cost is $11.50, which will be collected during lunch from 8/22/25-9/24/25. Lunch will be served when we return to school. Only 120 slots are available, so reserve your spot ASAP! Extra permission slips are located in both 8th grade halls.

We have 20 yearbooks left to sell if your student is interested!

3:00-4:30 PM in the gym
Must have a physical (Bring to Coach Morrison before tryout date).
Must wear tennis shoes (no dunks or Jordans).
Must wear athletic clothing.

HLMS Western Spring Fling
Friday, April 4 from 5:00-7:30 PM
Tickets are $10 and will be sold during lunches.
Admission includes a beverage and a snack item, and a concession stand will also be available for food purchases.
